Seatback Cardbard. What to replace it with?

Is there anything that anyone has used in lieu of the thin cardboard that is on there. Mine is kinda cruddy and wavy.
 
Maybe two layers of posterboard, glued together with contact cement? Or maybe a more flexible adhesive, as they need to bend a bit to get them fitted.
 
Vince, couldn't you use a thin sheet of vinyl? There wouldn't be a moisture problem as with cardboard and no distortions.

As you probably know, Moss sells replacements for $14 each ($28/set)... Might be worth the $$$ to save all of the hassle re-inventing the wheel...
