TR2/3/3A Seat position

I installed new floor pans in TR3A, seat track holes were pre-drilled. Seats installed are now slightly turned outward and not straight. Is this correct or do the seats sit perfectly straight in the car? I pulled a string from door jam to door jam and the ridges on the seat bottoms are turned about 1/2 inch.

I am not sure? I think it falls into the category of accepting those things that cannot be (easily) changed. In other words, it is not worth replacing or re-drilling the floors...unless the seat travel is restricted on adjustment.

I will not need to look closer, but I was thinking maybe they are that way to make room for the removable trans tunnel because that bells out. If they were tapered in, then they would hit the tunnel early in their travel.
