Seat Piping / Trim Piping

Hi Patton as far as I know piping is piping and both in the aftermarket world are generally made the same. Depending on the location originally the core material differed. A rope like material was used in the seats probably jute and a plastic core was used at the shut face panels. Plastic core seems to be the universal choice of most upholsters today.--Fwiw---Keoke

Patton...you may be referring to "capping". Piping as Keoke reviews is the edge trim on panels and seats about the diameter of a straw...personally I prefer the piping to be the same color as the vinyl or leather but usually to accomplish this it has to be custom made. Most suppliers use contrasting piping (which Kekoe or Tony) correct me if I'm wrong is actually the original looks.

anyway "capping" is the trim that goes along dash and top of tub...more closer to an inch in diameter..it is also usually wrapped in the same material vinyl or leather as seats and panels. .hope I haven't helped confuse the issue....if you're looking for vendor provided replacements Tony Barnhill on the BCF can save you some $$$'s. take care..
