seat foam

While reviewing the Moss tape on re-doing the upholstry they mention a foam called Landau for the back on the seat back. I understand it might be a closed cell foam? Is it something special? Thanks.

I don't think it is very special. Used under the vinyl covering on hard tops to give the convertible look. Probably closed cell to prevent moisture absorption. It should be available at most trim shops.

TH,

Interesting that Moss recommends Landau foam. When I took my original seats apart there was a thin layer of felt (I believe it was a type of horse hair felt) on the back so I just replaced it with new felt that the trim shop had. Still have some pictures on my website that show the process ..
