I have had my 73' TR-6 just over 2 years now. I am beginning to consider what to do about it's seat belts. In my opinion, the stock ones are a bit of a joke. They do not retract correctly, but I don't know if those things were ever a good idea. Any comments or ideas ? ...J.D.

I bought the seatbelts for my TR6 here

Yeh...I could fix what is there, but I really do not like that setup. They were just installed to make the government happy, not to SERIOUSLY protect anything. ...J.D.

I have a 1975 TR6 and when I purchased it the seat belts would not retract properly. I removed the seat belts from the car, pulled the strap all the way out of the reel, put a clamp on the belt so it would not retract and sprayed the whole reel assembly with WD40. I let them set over night, reinstalled them and they have been working great ever since.

The jury is still out with me. I am not sure what I will do with my seat belts yet. I do not like the factory ones though, even if they were brand new. Still thinking on this one. ...J.D.
