Seat belt is locked...any suggestions?

well... yer just way more suave at dodging tickets than most of us....

I dodged a $200+ speeding ticket in GA but he wrote me up for seat belts cause he radioed in that he pulled me over and "had to write me up for *something*".... I would have gotten the speeding ticket IF I didn't pull over as soon as I saw him leaving his hiding place to chase me down.

Seriously, why wear a seat belt in an open MG anyway?

I've heard your MG seatbelt story before tony, and it's the best.... And I agree. What good is a seatbelt in an MG if your in a serious accident? Granted mine prolly would break in a serious accident anyway (and at the moment won't let me use it - locked up), but I do use my seatbelt in all my other cars - including the Alfa.... If the work, and the car is big and fast enough - use them!

I just feel better when there's something other than me hand and me butt keeping me in the car... course...a 5point harness and full roll cage would be better....

just me though. I buckle up more outa habit than anything these days. I *always* buckle up... even when I'm a back seat passenger...

Tony, it makes your body much easier to recover after you cartwheel into the weeds.

That's too funny! Well, really, a little scarey because it's true. I know they're useless, but it'd be nice to instill a false sense of security in the passenger and have a seat belt that will at least click around them (and help me avoid a ticket as well).
Are those 3 point ones you can get from JC Whtiney pretty easy to install? I'd rather get the non-retractable ones and go that route if I decide to replace them.
Thanks!

Once you figure it out, I probably have an old Kangol that works.

Thanks, Tony. Where is Gurley? Are you in North Alabama somewhere?

Ah, not too far out of Huntsville I see. I looked you up on Google Earth and got quite an arial view of your car collection!

Yep, that's the MG Graveyard back in that corner..

That's pretty neat. I had to try it myself. My house isn't half as visible as tony's on Google earth. Wow, you can actually see all the cars back by his fence.

If you go southwest over the mountain behind me, you'll come to my friend's salvage yard...see if you can pick out my other cars there back in a corner under a cedar tree....
