Seat Belt '71B

The shoulder harness on my '71 B connects to the body by sliding over an anchor bolt on the rear deck, and is held in place by a piece of plastic which snaps into place between the anchor and the metal seatbelt end. In my case the piece of plastic is missing. Is there another way to snug up the belt end to the anchor bolt? Is there a part made to replace the original plastic snap?

I don't think the little bits of plastic are still available-at least, I've never seen 'em advertised anywhere. That weird shoulder belt mounting method didn't last very long, IIRC, inertia reel belts were quickly developed and mounted for production. As a temporary measure, a large rubber washer could be trimmed to fit over that bolt on the back deck, keeping the seat belt hook a bit snugger, as well as keeping it from scratching the paint.
