On a related note who here has a mascot for their car and where in it do they reside?

In the B I have a small Stitch plush toy hanging from the wiper switch

who else here has something like this, comeon people I wanna hear about those fluffy dice!!!

regards

Thanks mate, I wish the same for you! Not a mascot as such, but my oldest son gave me a little sticker for the windcreen of my first MGB (in the States) it was of a little orange wind-up car. The MG was orange, hence the thought. After that got totalled I took the sticker and kept it for my next car, a blue one. It has since faded, but I'll not part with it. Not a mascot as such, but as close as I ever got to one.

heres my
mascot

I swap my "Windblocker" from car to car...does that count?

Its EZ Jeff, i just glue it to the bald spot!...lol

Cool Pic!!!, Glue eh? wouldn't velcro be easier /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The passenger looks like he's enjoyint all, no need to stick your head out the window to hang your tongue in the breeze when you're in a B!!

Being a long haired git I use a tennis visor as I haven't found any elasticised baseball caps that will stay on me head at speed.

regards

I have a Mickey Mouse beach towel converted into a seat cover for the ratted out driver's seat in my '76 'B... does that count as a mascott? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

So long as we don't tell M. Eisner you should be Okay.

I have a few goodies in my '65 B that have been there so long they are kind of nostalgic. Piece of a motorcycle that ran me over, an old Avon baseball bat hair brush, some gag parking violations for people who can't park, etc. No real mascots though.

Closest thing I have to a mascot are these wings in my '67 GT, worn by Bob Mason during combat in Vietnam. I was going to remove them when I got the car but they grew on me and now I plan to leave them there forever.

My B is a white Rubber Bumper, so when I got a Stormtrooper in my happy meal, he was instantly adopted. He rides in the little cubby between the seats.

Nice touch, Scott. Doubt those wings were ever actually worn on a combat mission (everyone flew "sanitized", Navy included IIRC), but NO DOUBT they were worn during his tour. That looks so nice I may put my aircrew wings someplace on the Elan dash.

Thanks for the idea!

LoL, my wings are silver, would look so much better, go Air Force.

I've no choice! The silver ones are all I got /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

I have a similar charm...when I was replacing Clementine's interior, I found a gold chain and heart shaped pendant under the console by the shifter, simply engraved with the name "Dolly"...Hence the name was modified to be Dolly Clementine and the chain and pendant was reestored permenently to hang from the rearview mirror, no doubt where is was at somepoint in her illustrious career /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Th' things I found hidden in my first B can't even be MENTIONED here, let alone hung from th' mirror!!!

hopefully you didn't need to wear an tox suit to get rid of it.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

difficlut in a hammock, impossable in a sprite.

But apparently "do-able" in an MGB! at least back in 1969.
