I shot this back in '88 - in Fairfield, PA. I finally scanned the sucker and suddenly felt a little older. I don't know if the pump was operational, but the pump on the far left is probably the last "leaded" (not race fuel) pump I can remember seeing. Sheesh.

Guess what - we drive our Healey through Fairfield often, on our way to Gettysburg, and that building is still there! The pumps are gone, but the building is the office for a used car lot, where they often have old trucks and cars from the 50's and 60's.

Awesome... if I get up that way I'll have to remember to drop by!

Near where I live, the county has this restored filling station on display as a musem. The area has several old buildings like this the county has preserved.
