Scam or greatest deal ever? Decent BT7 for $15K?

When bored, I poke around on Craigslist and daydream about what I would buy if I had more $. Anyway, a 1960 Healey 3000 BT7 popped up on CL yesterday with some unusual photos and a very low price ($14,800). If a real ad, I feel that someone is going to get a steal. But the odd photos (they look like stretched scans from a magazine) and very low price make me think it is too good to be true. I chose not to email the owner because even if it is a real ad, I don't need a second healey or have $15K sitting around.

Doesn't pass the smell test. Photos distorted, possibly by resolution changes from lifting/transferring from/to different media (don't know the actual mechanism; kinda like SD TV shows that have been upscaled to HD aspect ratio). Legitimate sellers usually show engine compartment; earnest/sophisticated ones show underside too. Doesn't look like Santa Barbara locale to me.

If I lived nearby, I'd shoot seller an email and indicate interest in inspecting car in person. That's usually when the rigmarole starts. If it was legit, though, I'd probably try to flip it (got more Healeys than I can handle already).

The first thing I do with these things is right click on the photo (in Win10) and search for the image in Google. You can usually find the original image and ad which the scammers ripped off. Of course, the CL seller never says where the car is. Using SearchTempest, you find the same ad on many different CL sites. Some photos show the Nebraska license plate.

I'm thinking the sale is on the level - posted on many different web sites for max exposure. Regardless, I'm always amazed at people buying cars online without an on-site inspection.

Before starting this thread, I actually tried a reverse google image search with one of the images, but was unsuccessful. So thank you for finding it.

For those who may not have followed Healey Rick's link, the car is listed for sale from Fort Collins, CO with Nebraska plates. No price is given, but the contact info for the owner is at the ClassicCarMark website. The interior is shown in the extra photos. It is a nice looking car and NOT a $15K car.

Scam.

From memory, when this car was previously listed on CL by it's presumed to be lawful owner, the asking price was somewhere near $40K IIRC. The car was listed for some time this summer/fall.
