Has anyone had any business with SC Parts? I ordered some stuff and keep getting conflicting information on the shipment.

I've ordered from them many times from the early 1980's until last year; never had a problem. Visited them in person too once.

I bought a R/D drive steering box through them. They were the cheapest: I think they make them. There service was good. Fast delivery and good communication, but I think their prices are a bit rich (usually)

I had all kinds of problems with them last year when I purchased my Webers. Only reason I used them was because they had a 20% discount on offer. They are now owned by a German company and as far as I am aware they moved all their UK stock to a central warehouse in Germany. I never use them. AH Spares and Ahead4Healeys are much better , they are nice people who are known in the Healey World.

This is exactly the problem I'm having with them. I can't good information from them on my orders. Wished I had used someone else.

The biggest problem with SC parts is that they do not tell you if a part is not in stock. With some of our Healey parts being difficult to source this can mean a wait of months while the part is fabricated in a batch when demand warrants it. Always phone them to check stock, do not order online. They debit you immediately and you wait months for the part.

I agree. SC Parts is now owned by Limora - and ther service from Limora varies significantly from time to time. Once I ordered a part for my C-V8 which was shown to be on stock but it actually took them 3 months to deliver it. Otherwise they sometimes deliver next day.
Limora is pretty expensive as well, especially for "commodity" parts.
