Howdy everyone, I'm new on the BCF so I thought I'd say Hi and tell you folks about my newly acquired little roadster, a'78 Spitfire that was given to me last fall. Long story short it was a nice driver when it was parked in 95' unfortunatly the former owner was involved in an unrelated traffic collision back in 96' resulting in severe brain damage and leaving him unable to complete his project. At the time he was in the prossess of refurbishing the little roadster(paint and interior). The triumph languished under a tarp in a carport untill last year when it was given to a neighbor to make space available. Eventually it found it's way to my house. Seems to be a very sound car and came with a trunk full of new parts(purchaced in 1995)including an complete interior still in boxes. Two days of cleaning and fluid changing brought it back to life. The car,(Brooklands Green)was bought new here in so.cal and has always resided in eastern Riverside co. so other than the interior being pulled out and everything plastic/rubber being brittle, it's pretty nice. Also it had a cheap BRG re-spray and thats shot too. I've actually driven it around my rural neighborhood more than a few time now. The former owners wife kept the registration non-op fees current and it even came with a new (in 1995) set of michelin's which of course I'll replace. I've got lots of questions to post for for all you good people so there you have it.
