As far as we know the Sunbean is still good. It has quite a special history too. The owner of the yard will not break it but is offering it for sale (which is why is on the roof or a lorry - to keep gruby hands off).
It was rebuilt in the 1990s by a young man in his 20s, however before it was completely finished he died of cancer. His best friend finished the car and sold it for the family. The next owner abused it badly. I don't remember all the details I will have to ask my husband if anyone is interested. Anyway we ended up with the car and it was my husbands Pride and joy for a few years. When I fell pregnant he swapped it for a Rover P6 with a colleague. He eventually sold it and that owner sold it for scrap this year.
My husband rebuilt the engine and gearbox himself. It was a racing engine though - not the original.
That poor mini :frown: at least its still there and not squashed into a cube
