Sans bumpers

Until that thing arrives from the Sprite/Jag guy....I whippped up something with a 1/4" steel strip and some PR chrome.
There seems to be a lot of bumpers falling off Spridgets these days, Pegasus caught that disease too....

There are some Bugeye bumperettes on a spridget here.

Yeah, thanks Donn, I hadn't gotten a mental picture of the back yet. I've taken the rear bumpers off, but was undecided whether to fill the holes, or hide them somehow, that is a quaint way of hiding them!
Now, part 2, finding BE bumperettes.....anyone.....

you could use the stalks for fog lights Ive seen it done
Ive use 1950s rear sprite bumperets to give mine the "Cobra" look.

Boy does that front end look good.

And the price of BE rear bumpers goes through the roof.

Very difficult to fine undamaged orginal ones. Most need to be reworked and chromed.

Moss 80 buchs per and they are of course aftermarket.

I am building an RWA street Midget (slowly) and will give this some thought to some of these ideas. Right now the car has a hideous, permanent tow-bar atttached to the front bumper mounts.

FYI: I did a webpage about converting RB Midgets to old-style bumpers. It's ~HERE~.

Managed to find some used bumperettes for $10 ea here.
Don't know how good a nick they'll be in, but Jacks suggestion of getting rechromed will be right regardless.
I think I'll get them here just to try them rather than spending the $$$ for new and they don't jive with my brackets.
Just the rear though, the front looks OK for now, I'll slap a license plate on there and I'm away!
