Actually, guys....I'm simply still out of garage space.

BUT

I'm on the track of a guy in Vancouver,WA who has 5 TR3s that he's trying to sell as a package. Two drivers (one with factory hardtop,) one fully restored frame/drivetrain with wire wheels, and two projects. Titles for all. He's asking $20K (which is way out of my current price range.) I figure that if I can get him down to $13.5-$15K I might be able to keep one driver and that restored frame to build a vintage racer.

But here's the issue -- no place to put them!

My Capri is going up to my friend's place (where the rally track is, but it's sitting outside now.)

I've also thought about selling the TR8. Quite honestly, I liked the TR7 better. The TR8 is too numb. It's like they Americanized the TR7 by adding horsepower, and removing feel. I still love the looks, but if I want straight-line speed, I have Corvettes.

I'm still looking for a '77 Trans Am- black with gold bird and T-tops. I have my cowboy hat ready. (Yeah, I'm a cheeseball.)

Tomorrow, my dad is coming down, so I'll enlist him to push pedals so I can bleed the hydraulics on the green TR3.

Other than that, my wife and I need to replace our failing Ford Expedition. As soon as Toyota Avalons get the good cash-back/financing that all the rest of the Toyotas are getting (probably around late January, early Feb --- when the new Camry is released, and the Avalon is no longer the newest Toyota,) we'll jump on that. We're sick of the piece of junk Ford. (It's a 1998 with 155K miles which was already wrecked once (by my inlaws.)) The clutches in the rear differential are going out, and a rear shock mount is broken, plus the thing gets 12MPG on a good day, and is a pain to park or scrape the ice off of -- and it isn't that great for towing, either.

So that's where I'm at.

If you head up to Vancouver to look at the TR's and want some company, maybe even someone who might take one of them, let me know. I live in Seattle, so I am on your way. Not that I need another LBC, and let's not mention this to my wife.

Check out the Candaian autotrader( autotrader.ca) for those Trans Ams...I check it daily and i've noticed a few rough but driveable Black Birds around $1500(CDN) have been listed for months, i guess it's a bad time of the year to sell that type of car.....I missed out on a 77 Firebird Espirt from the original owner and no miles(original paint too)so I've been keeping my eye on them since then, what I really want is a late 80' Camaro IROC-Z Convertable...but it's hard to justify the price for an old Camaro.

It's actually Vancouver, WA -- outside of Portland. Not sure where in town.

Haven't found a time to go down there...but will let you know if I get a time to do so. Maybe I'll enlist you to drive one back to Oly /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif.
