Watching a PBS special on American flea markets, man there are some huge ones down there!

We have some so-called flea markets here in Calgary, but they don't hold a candle to what I'm seeing on TV, envy is starting to set in... :cryin:

And as for outdoor flea markets, it's rather difficult in our climate for a good chunk of the year...

My wife was in Denver last week visiting her sister and they went to a bunch of "garage sales". She was able to pick me up a really nice hand-tooled leather satchel / bag for $5! The thing is in perfect condition!

Seriously Basil, that's a nice bag. Stuff like that rarely shows up at the flea markets around here. Someone put a lot of craftsmanship into that piece. That's "useful art"

The soundtrack for this thread should be James Brown's "Pappas Got A Brand New Bag."
