Got to go out on dad's Cal 25 sailboat today. There was a decent 10MPH wind, and the sun was shining at Seneca Lake. This is the first sail I have taken on any larger boat in many years. We sat on-board last night in the harbor and watched the fireworks display in the park.
other than some issues with the outboard we used for getting in and out of the harbor, it was a really nice trip.
The worst part is that little seed that got planted in the back of my brain that having a boat in the harbor would be really nice.....someday.

Buddy of mine owned a Cal 33in San Francisco. Use to drive down there and spend a couple of days on it. When the weather was good

Sure, no problem, no more TR though as it'll never get done.

Worth it?

Mine the diiamonds in your own field Bro!

Ben,

Cool stuff - but why are all of the fireworks being set off
prior to the 4th?

Dunno Doug. the 2 major local shows were both Saturday night. I guess they figure more people will come if they do it on the weekend (I'm sure it's all about money) They always have big festivals at the sites, with bands and vendors.
No worries about a boat coming before the TR. If I can't get the TR done, that proves I'd never get a boat done either. That's more of a veeeeery long term goal.
