Saftey Engine Restraint Cable

pretty sure it is 1500 only

From the picture it looks like it would go from a hole in the outside (car side) of the tranny mount to one of the engine/tranny bolts.
Does your tranny mount have a hole in the frame that is big enough for the bar to go through?

the end with the metal adapter on it goes to a tranny bolt on the lower passenger side. The other end is threaded into the cross member on the passenger side. It does not need to be real tight. If it is too tight it will transfer vibration throughout the car. Does your significant other know you put that greasy thing on the carpet?

Actually, its a photo currently on ebay. (its on someone elses carpet!). I was trying to figure out if I needed one for my car. I dont think I find evidence of a former attachment on the passengers side crossmember (?). Maybe I'll leave that for someone else to 'snap up at auction!'.

Should not be necessary if motor mounts are good and you are not raceing.
