As we work on our cars we can get a little lazy on safety and the potential for disaster. A good friend of mine was removing a gas tank out of a 2007 Chevy Tahoe. Drained the fuel out of the tank (so he thought) as the tank came down one side dropped faster and gas spilled out of the filler spout. When the other side came down it hit the drop light and WOOSH the gas that was spilled on the floor caught fire and also the container that held the fuel that was removed from the Tahoe. In matter on seconds the Tahoe was engulfed in flames. Tony and Rob were lucky to get out with only slight burns. But a $40,000 Harley the 2007 Tahoe and many other tools and the like were lost. Much to say that Tony's Wife was NOT very happy about the fire. Just a little effort on safety could have made this only a small gas spill. Remember safety first.
