Safety Devices Roll over Bar

This is probably a query for UK and European members.
Has anyone fitted a Safety Devices bolt in Roll Over Bar to a BJ8?The reason I ask about fitting to a BJ8 is that I obtained a roll over bar which I was assured fitted all 4 seater Big Healeys ( NOT a Safety Devices one). However, due to the forward mounting of the anti tramp bars on the BJ8 this bar will not fit without major surgery and or welding. The front mountings of this roll bar should fit on the sloping section of floor just in front of the rear wings. No problem for any Big Healey except the BJ8 which has the box covering the front mountings of the anti-tramp bars in this position.I am hoping that the Safety Devices bar mounts inboard of these boxes, but neither Safety Devices or Dennis Welch seem to understand my query, and so give me an absolute answer.
Any advice and hopefully a photo would be fantastic.
Thanks in advance, Andy

This isn't a definitive answer but I suspect there is no such product on the market. Dennis Welch only make one type. Any BJ8's that I see in competition, which is a lot less than earlier models, usually have most of the 'luxury' items stripped out of them. I suspect you will have to make some adjustments if you want one.

You should be able to get a local fabricator to set you up with what you need; qualifications of course, would include top-level welding skills, a tube bender and ideally, some rollbar friendly tube bending software program.

I've made a few bars (2-seat Healey & BMW ///M Coupe) and they're not that hard to do.
