General TR Sad news about Randall

When I got into the Triumphs hobby and bought a Spitfire in 1998, Randall was active on the Triumphs listserve and providing great advice. I think he was a TR3 owner in those days too. His advice was always spot on and freely shared, and he will be sorely missed.

Great job on compiling that info. I bookmarked the page. He left us too soon.

Has anyone seen an obituary for Randall or know of a charity he supported? Might be nice to make a donation in his name.
Tom

Thanks Randy. No charity listed but I'll at least send a card. Tom

Note that yesterday (August 3) would have been Randall's 65th birthday.

He provided so much help to so many people, here and elsewhere.

Randall, and his wealth of knowledge on Triumphs, has helped me solve problems on the restoration of my TR-3 and was helping me with my TR-2. He will be sorely missed by all of us, he made the Brit Forum.

How many times have I a read a post and immediately thought "Randall will know, he'll chime in soon?"
Or, "I remember that Randall posted on that earlier with a solution?"

Aside from the upload docs, and I'm sure some that were not completed for Randall to upload, I really miss his daily assistance and nodding my head yes to his spot on understanding of the issue at hand.
He wouldn't just shoot a one-liner, but prefaced his answers with understanding what happened, why, and how it affects other things on the car.

A very special human, Randall will be and is missed every single day as I read this and other forum posts.

Yes, there are still plenty of recent topics on the board where Randall provided his usual complete and very helpful answer, kind of weird to read them now. He is greatly missed, he helped me wire my turn signals for LED when I would have been stumped, and many other things.
