Hey you MG guys, you stole the word Sabrina. It was first used to describe the Triumph Twin Cam engine of the early 60's ie the cam covers. The rightful name for the rubber blocks on the MGB is Dolly Pardons.

STOLE? I prefer to think of it as accepting a great idea! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif But Dolly has her merits as well....

British car, British actress...

Weren't those huge bullet-like projections on early-50's Cadillac bumpers called Dolly Partons?

Dagmars. Dolly wasn't "in her prime" in the 50's....at least not to the American public.

Actually, the term Sabrina's can be tagged to any of the large over-riders on British automobiles produced during the mid-70's.....Triumph, Jaguar, MG....they all had 'em.

MG owners didn't steal the Sabrinas....we just "embraced" the them more.

That's right, Rick, 'Dagmars', I'd forgotten....

But are 'Sabrina' & 'Dagmar' the same person?

No....Sabrina and Dagmar were not one and the same....Dagmar had a few years on Sabrina...however, it does at times appear that they could have been "twins separated at birth".

"King size Sabrina brought her amazing attractions to the New World."

Great caption, very racy for the time I suspect. I wonder what magazine that was in.

Well after banging on the Sabrina for days, I decided to drill her out. Only way I could get it out.

This is a true story.. really. I film developed on the back of the Sabrina and it was stuck together like cement.

Vping,

Ahhh yeah, right..... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Possible. I think the Sabrina's metal spacer behind the bumper is a different metal than the bumper itself; so, there could've been some interactions. Hpefully, you didn't damage the Sabrina.

I was banging it really hard and really marred the surface. The rubber is ok but the metal had visually damage. Still usable.
