RV8 conversion?

Offline
I wonder... They based the RV8 on a heritage MGB body shell...

Which parts would you need to convert the exterior to look just like one? Are these parts available anywhere? And how much would they cost?

Just a thought. Hmmmmmmm.

Kenny - you can find every part except the doors/windshield (unless you can find a wrecked RV), however they're expensive...over $200 for a tail light!

I once found a wrecked RV8 in Germany but before I could make a bid on it, somebody in the UK trounced on it.

It's too bad. I find the RV8 to be a very nice update...and the interior is quite opulant.

Cool, he used the MGB windshield/doors/ventlights... But everthing else looked like it was nearly built from scratch!

I will have an RV8 style hood ready for production in about a month.

You know that's a nice looking ride.

I would imagine there were no or very limited left hand drive versions?

Bruce

I was just considering changing the body panels for the look. Then I'd have a LHD 1977 RV8 1800 - registered as a 1977 MGB!

When were the RV8s made. Who built the car? PJ

Yes, there were LHD RV8's made - mostly for Europe...however, the majority of them went to Japan so the LHD's are scarce...I bid on a wrecked one over in Germany a few years ago (didn't win)..they were made from 1992-1994.....only 1,983 were produced...UK got 324, Germany got 59, Holland got 21, Belgium 2, Australia 4, France 2, and the rest went to Japan.
