I've heard a lot about POR15 but it is not readily available in my area. What other brands of rust sealer/preventitive are there and how would you rank them in your experience?
 
John, have you checked with a local hot rod group? There's ususally a body shop supply house those guys prefer (usually someone in the club OWNS one) and they'll have it on a shelf inna back room. :wink:
 
I order POR15 from their web site (already listed); you can be sure that the product is fresh, which is important. I also like to order the common colors in "6 packs" if I have a sizable area to cover; again, it is better to open a small can and use it up then open another can, than to open a large can and have to reseal it. Once the can is opened and air enters, the paint begins to work (set up); by the second-third day it is usually getting thick and within a couple more days has turned to goo.

Eastwood also sells a "Rust Encapsulator" in brush or rattle can.
