I have replaced the rear apron on my TR3 and was wondering what others have used as rust proofing on the inside of the body cavities before I weld the stiffener panels in.
 

I have used this on our daily drivers with good results in the Salt Belt. It goes on clear but will collect dirt of course although behind a closed panel probably not as much pf an issue. It remains “liquid” and therefore self healing and will creep into seams etc.
it also comes in aerosol cans for smaller jobs or touch ups.
 
I’ve used 3M cavity wax.

It is different to the Fluid Film product mentioned by Charlie - I’m not familiar with it but it looks quite good. I’m curious which works best where?
 
A guy I watch on you tube that runs a repair shop in northern NY swears by Fluid film. Says it is the only thing he recommends to his customers and uses it on his personnel vehicles. And he says "Not a sponsor"

I shot some into the closed up areas on my TR3A after I finished the restoration.

Many in the TR fraternity here in the uk are using a lanolin based product called lanoguard

I'm a fan of Penetrol. Because of it's viscosity it creeps. I use it in a garden sprayer for an undercoating and inside the frame, doors and rocker panels... lots of places

I always use £inigans Waxoil, squirted into any and all ori£ices, under body also.
It is sel healing as it never goes hard, i you scratch some o££ it will £low back together,
The doors on my Panther lima project were done £rom new, 45 years on still no rust.
