Runs bad after hot start

Car runs fine when started cold and keeps running good until I turn it off. When I restart the hot engine after it sits for 2-3 minutes, it runs like s**t. No accleration, no power, very rough.

Can anyone confirm my thinking it is the Crankshaft Position Sensor? When cold, the reading is about 1300 ohms, right where it should be. When hot, it is less than 500 ohms.

Thanks

Mike

Sounds like you have the culprit in hand. Try a new position sensor. A defective one can make an XJ run pretty bad. Jack
