Finally figured out DPO wiring on dual points for Petronix installation, installed new cap & rotor I got overnite (thanks Tony), filed down bottom of rotor to eliminate cap wobble, set timing, installed fuel pressure regulator, and started the Midget for the first time since last fall. Got front carb set but could'nt get the back one adjusted.

Sprayed starter fluid on carb/manifold connections and found massive air leak on rear carb (and a small one on front). Found out that with original heat shield gaskets may not be needed as copper ring acts as gasket.

Did drive up and down driveway and got thru 3 of 5 gears.

So close....

Well, first drive after major work is alway a joy. Grats to that.

I am sure you will get the air leaks sorted quickly and give it a real go.

well that is good news, you must have a long driveway.

great progress

Great progress here.

Me, I'm singing but not running... lots of gigs but no Tunebug progress. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
