Run On After OFF

I have posted several times about progress and problems with my A project. After 7 yrs I am close to having this thing on the road. Fixed my "no reverse" problem by just moving shifter around and using a little more force. Now goes into reverse fine. Latest problem is bad run on after ignition is turned off. Engine jumps and sputters for quite a while. I think my timing is reasonably close because it starts up fine. Would run on be too advanced or too retarded? Any other things to check? Your help has been invaluable. Thanks in advance.

Could be carbon build up on valves, head or both, due to a rich mixture. Could be "Hot" plugs with possible wrong heat range. Just a couple possibility's. PJ
