Rubber trim adhesive

I am trying to get the trunk seal to stay glued to the lip of the trunk in my TR250, have tried silicone and some automotive trim adhesive but it won't stay put, at least not where it gets the most stress, where it latches at the bottom middle, tired or redoing it. Any suggestions, Gorilla Glue?
 
I doubt the contact cement will hold very long outside. I have never found anything that works better than the 3M weatherstrip adhesive. You do have to clean the surface thoroughly and follow the instructions exactly but it just works.

3M makes a couple of different kinds. 3M Weatherstrip Adhesive is yellow (affectionately known as "Gorilla Snot" and doesn't grip as well in high stress areas. 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive comes in black and was the only thing that would hold my furflex door trim on. Like Bayless said, follow the directions carefully. You want both sides to tack up before you place the trim in place.
 
3M is the only brand I use. The Black, as Rick suggests, is about the best out there that I know of. I used in on the bonnet/hood insulating material also and it hasn't moved in 9 years. PJ
