No Tom, being an MGB it must have been going flat out, today 55mph isn't considered all that peppy. The guy should have bought a TR if he wanted to run the same speed as traffic.

Pretty sure he had just stalled and got it running again, and FWIW it was stop and go traffic - so you are correct Walter, he would have only needed a Triumph to keep up. 
BTW was in uptown Toronto today (Lawrence & Dufferin for them what know) Image a nasty boring strip mall kind of intersection - last week spotted a TR6 as I drove that section of road - today was a TF. and a block later a Mercedes SL - not sure what it is about that intersection.
