Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen!
I am Mike Hancock, I recently moved to Portland, Oregon from Australia. I have owned my 1970 Rover P5b Saloon since 1996, when I was a lot younger and poorer than I am now. I am planning to ship the Rover over here, as my life isn't right without it. (My wife is very understanding - the Rover predates us, so she knew she was marrying us both!)
The car is right hand drive, and my research tells me that it will be legal to drive it here. Does anyone have experience of driving "big" rhd saloons over here? (By modern standards P5's aren't huge, of course, probably smaller than a Camry).
Any suggestions, tips, warning of pitfalls, etc gratefully received.
There seem to be a lot of MG's, Healeys and Triumphs, Jaguars, etc over here, and pretty well supported by clubs as far as I can tell, but I'm struggling to find a club for lost British Saloons in Portland.
