Hello out there,I'm finishing out the interior on my BJ7 and everything looks great.However I can't find a logical way of running my speedo cable from the gearbox up to the dash.Does it come out around the tunnel or is there a hole somewhere it passes thru.I feel a little stupid but I can't figure it out .Thanks for any advice.Ben

Don't feel stupid these cars are old and you can't always compare to somebody else's or find a good manual. I'm not to close to Healey, but, if like most British cars, it will come to engine compartment and then route through the firewall, check for grommet in line with or near Speedo. You'll get more precise hits in a little bit, hold on!!!

Strange as it appears, the photos that I have show the cable coming into the interior through a slit in the carpet on the transmission tunnel & then looping up to the speedo. The hole is centered on & about half way up the front hump.
On your car is there a hole in the transmission cover somewhere in this area?

I concur. The speedometer cable fits through a grommet in the centershift (fibreglas) tunnel and between the forward most panel and the bulkhead on the side shift trans cars (at least mine was...).
