Well, the guys made it apparently. They stopped by my shop on the way home yesterday. We had a great 3 hour visit and I got to learn of some of their exploits as well as show off some of our work. It turns out we were misinformed just a little. The trip was not in Johnny's Morris Traveler but in Jim's Midget. And although it was originally supposed to be a group excursion, everyone backed out except Jim and Johnny. So, they persevered and made that daunting trip alone i that little car. Jim said they are trying to make 150 to 200 miles each day and still avoiding interstate's as much as possible. I think I can understand that. We had what they described as a "typical British sunshine day", temperature in the upper 60s and almost total overcast with an occasional little patch of blue, well maybe one or twice. So here they are, preparing to head out for Chandler, OK for the night at 4:00, about 45 miles from here. Jim is the one with his hand on the windscreen. Oh, and Johnny recognized my Prefect straight away as an "Upright Ford."

Thanks for the update. Was puzzled about the lack of posts on their progress.

So frustrating, when you get a bunch of folks who say they'll join the drive, but then evaporate for one reason or another. Throws cold water on the adventure, I'm afraid.

I've noticed that Johnny seems to like to post selfies a lot.

I had reached out about them joining and updating BCF - no interest.

All we can do is try.

What's the old saw about leading a horse to water ?
