TR6 Rough running TR6 = Pertronix?

Thanks Ron. Given your background, that's a good endorsement.

Thats very nice.

For some reason Sears dosn't sell timing lights here in Canada. They do sell a lot of other tools though.

I'm going to wait a bit on this... my car has develeoped yet another problem which I'll start a new thread for. I can only really deal with one thing at a time.

This is getting annoying, I've had the car for something like 10 years with very few problems, and now all of a sudden everything seems to be happening at once.

Ah, I hate to tell ya this, but wait a few more years and see what that body you're livin' in starts to do to ya!

Got my new Sears timing light to work. I had to install my original (actually replacement 15 years ago) ignition wire for #1 cylinder. It seems that the Sears lights don't like Magnecor Race wires. Go figure....

But I already ordered the other unit, so back she goes next week.

Hey, Roos...what's going on with this project? Did you get it running right yet?

Hi Paul,

At the moment I've still got the coolant leak, and I don't have a valve yet. We unexpectedly had to buy a new fridge on the weekend, so cash is a little short right now, so I have to put the purchace of the timing light on hold for now. I'll probably get back on this project in a few weeks when I'm feeling a bit wealthier!

The good new is that the car is running very well on the points (when the cooliant stays in that is).

Cheers

Todd.
