TR6 Rough clutch when warm.

72 TR6, I’ve recently replaced a throw out bearing and sleeve. Clutch seems smooth and normal when cold or first few miles. After running for 10 minutes or so, clutch operation becomes rough and seems to hang up. My suspicion is the bearing sleeve is getting tight when heating up. Anyone ever remedy this without tearing it apart?

I had this exact issue; it is really frustrating. I ended up pulling the tranny and greasing especially the main shaft really well and the issue went away.

Ok Robert. Yeah I’ve done clutches several times, always used a lithium grease on the trans collar for the sleeve. Never felt one this bad. I’m trying to see if there’s a way I can get through the slot on the side of the bell housing and miraculously feed a bit more lube in there. Not sure if it’s possible, just figured I’d ask.

Are the 2 locating dowel pins on the engine's rear plate to the gearbox in place ?
