Hi folks,

I live in Owens Cross Roads, Al. and currently have a 1980 Spitfire 1500 pieces. It is under total restoration. Actually, it started as a driver restore about two years ago. When I started prepping it for paint a few months ago I decided to take it down to the frame to get it done right. Now, I am rebuilding a J-type overdrive tranny to put in it. I took the pan off the engine and found worn bearings so now I am also rebuilding the engine too. I had planned on having it ready for the Eurobrit this month but it is starting to look like Eurobrit 09 might be a better plan.

I have visited Tony's (the Autoist) shop a while back and got a great tour of his MG collection. I highly recommend it to any LBC nut who is in the area.

I am interested in the BCF Wiki but am having trouble logging on. Perhaps it will work now since I joined BCF in general.

Welcome, Ron!! Glad to see you found us & Happy you enjoyed our time together....Who's gonna do your bodywork/paint?

Hi There rw,

"Welcome" to the wonderful world of "LBCs" on the best Brit site on this planet or any other planet you can think of.

Introduce yourself to all the folks on the "Triumph" forum and begin your restoration process with the help of a ton of knowledgable, fun loving people there.

Best Wishes,

Russ

Hello, and welcome to the Forum!

Hi Tony, I am doing the body work, even though it is not that fun for me. Tentatively, I plan to spray basecoat/clearcoat myself in a paint booth on Redstone Arsenal. I went down to see your buddies in Owens Cross Roads and saw your MGTD(?) in excellent painted but unassembled condition. Is it back together yet?

Ron

TD is finished & home - you need to see it!!

They're delivering my Midget tub home today - hopefully!!

Welcome aboard Ron. If you are a member of NABMS we have probably met. If you aren't and are interested in the local British car club, go to: www.nabms.org

1979 Midget (about 95% back together)

Ron - you'll have to drop by & see the finished product in its 'bubble'...& take a look at the '63 Midget we're building.

Welcome Ron! I have a Spitfire myself and painted it in a booth on our local Air Force base. I took their auto hobby shop's body work/paint class. By the way, I happen to be in Hunysville now on business, but heading back to New Mexico tomorrow.
