Rolls Royce +

Took the MGB to our local Tuesday night cruise night. Mostly hot rods, but it's only 2 miles away, so why not?

I was one of the only two Brit cars there. The other was the Rolls Royce below. A guy driving by saw my B and pulled in to chat. Turns out he is restoring a Magnette! We have several mutual friends (including another Magnette owner).

A guy with an old pickup truck comes over and tells me all about the Sunbeam he had when he was 19. Then I run into another friend who just retired from our college. He's been restoring a TR6 for like 25 years. Getting closer, he says. He's with his pal who's a drag racer but also has a 3.0 911 and is in the Porsche Club. I talk to him about lapping at Watkins Glen. Nice fellow.

All in all, a good evening.

My "pick" of most interesting vehicle last night. That's my white B in the background. (there was also a ratty Model A Speedster, but he left before I took a photo of him).

A friend of mine owns this 1972 and brings it to cruise ins once in a while (also his 1959 A-H Sprite RHD). He is driving the Rolls next weekend for my daughter's wedding to wisk them away from the reception in style!

Now I know we're less than "six degrees", Nial. Three, max.

That's halfa mile from "home" fer me.

The Glen Porsche runs likely put your pal with a friend of mine of the past 40 years. And his son.

Tho taken at Sebring, these guys:
