Rolling along! Restoration Pics

Well, not quite rolling yet.

It's hard to believe, but I'm only lacking a few more things before it's time to get the body going. I'm hoping to have a rolling chassis with a running drivetrain in the next 60 days. Maybe I won't even need a body, just a couple of lawn chairs and a nice gas tank.

Rolling Along!

It keeps getting better and better.

That's just beautiful! The car as art.

Awesome Tab,

Would almost be a shame to put a body on top of all that stuff it is so pretty. Makes mine look pretty boring that is for sure

Cheers,

That thing is tricked out with a capital T - definitely a work of art.

Tab- where did you source the universals for the steering shaft? They look a little neater than the standard TR6 style couplers.

I know, I know! Make a new body out of transparent aluminum! That way you'll still be able to see everything!!

There are after market clear hoods for the Tuner folks, so I don't see any reason why making a transparent body would be any different. But with the quality and detail being put into everything under the car, I can't wait to see how the rest of it goes! This is truely giving 110%! Nothing Half-arsed! Great Job so far Tab, I just hope it does not become some museum piece after your done... drive that puppy!

Thank's for the kind words and support guys.

Most of the detail and fabrication work I've done has really been to pass the time between waiting for parts. I've had plenty of time waiting until I could afford certain things, or until I located just the right materials, so much of what you see is a result of pure boredom. I can't begin to tell you how much I've learned, as well as how much I have forgotten about basic auto machanics during this process.

Oh, one more thing, this car will be driven, and driven hard. One reason I've gone to so much trouble is that I want something I can trust at speed. I like to drive quickly, but I'm not stupid...well, not that stupid.

Tab- Info on the lower steering shaft. Did you make ,buy or did it come with something else?
I need a longer shaft for my Wedge as I dropped the motor to the max and mover it forward. I think the way my shaft fits it is contributing to the skiddiness of the R&P.

I can't wait fer a report on how that Watt's link works.

All too beautiful, BTW. Decidedly Above and Beyond!
