Auto-X..............1961 ELVA Courier (North Hills Sport Car Club & BeaveRun)

SCCA ITB...........1979 FORD Pinto (BeaveRun, Nelson Ledges & Watkins Glenn)

Auto-X....... 1967 Lotus Elan, mebbe the MGB in near future.

Auto-X'd in the early '70's the MGB and Elan (Does that count?).

Crew'd....... Formula-A SCCA effort, back in the mid to late '70's: "Chief Tech 'n Bottle Washer" position. Car was a "recycled De Tomato" with a 350 CID four-bolt Chevy, T-J injection, Zed-F transaxle; mostly a hand built one-off.

'62 Sprite, H Production road racing. Super trick 948.
'72 Fiat 850 Spyder, with an "Abarthed" 1300 in it, for Vintage.
Maybe a Bugeye in H if I feel like it.
Jeff

past
- grassroots motorsports in Fiats, Lotii, during the 70's, 80's
- road course racing in Formula Fords late 80's, 90's.
- crew chief, mechanic, for F-1600 team
present
- restoring the SuperB, aptly named in 1964 by the fans, because it was an MGB with a supercharger (in progress)
- still crew for vintage racers
- still help out younger lads with F1600, F2000 and Lotii
Future
- get the car out to the tracks, too long restoring this, and likely at the end of the season drop this on for a blast.

Presently, a 1500 '78 Spridget in EMRA sprints and enduros. I ran 13 days of racing in '05. Last event was a 4-hour at Summit Point last October. I'll be back at Summit in 6 weeks.
.
Also raced SCCA and EMRA Mitsubishi Colt (ITC) and 1275 Sprite (FP).

Autocrossed Box-Sprite, Bugeye, Corvair, VW (rolled), Golf-GTI, TR-3, Miata and homebuilt Formula Vee.

Ran a few SCCA Pro-Rallys in Datsun 510 (never again!).

Ran off-road motorcycle enduro for almost 10 years...fun, but too many broken parts (on me, not the bike).

I have raced at Bridghampton, Lime Rock, Watkins Glen, Pocono (all 3 road course layouts), Summit Point, Shenandoah (the new circuit at Summit Point), BeaveRun, Shannonville (Ontario), The Hershey Hillclimb, and the Vanderbilt Vintage. I have also ridden shotgun in a pace car at Daytona.

Some dreadful old race pictures of me here:

Also, some of the student-assisted racing projects I was involved with here:

Nial,cool pictures!
I might run the '67 Cortina GT 1500 in AutoX/Hillclimb,
unless I find a Ford Fiesta.
Ran AutoX '73 - up,off & on.
Hillclimbed '74 - up.
Scca Showroom Stock C - 1980-'82 - Ford Fiesta "S"-
- Portland,Oregon,Sears Point,Seattle International-
- also entered as a GT5 (it gets weirder the farther North you get!).

This is the TR4 that I will be driving at the Mitty.

There are two more Road Atlanta pics in the Jaguar forum under MKVIII parts needed

Auto X in Hawaii, 60 Bugeye, back in early 60s.

DART,
I had a pic that showed daylight under the inside rear wheel of the MKIX out from under the bridge at Road Atlanta. It was in my portfolio with the rest of my racing pics sitting on the bonnet of my 3.8S for anyone interested. Someone was too interested and took the whole thing! This was in the paddock area of Road Atlanta in the mid-nineties. As I have told some who have sent me a PM , I rarely took pictures so I do not have the negatives.

Alan T

P.S. I passed the white E-Type on the back straight.

Great pictures Alan.
Wish I was closer to GA...the Mitty looks like fun.
I've run two vintage events up here and it's neat to see all the old cars.
I'll probably try to do at least one vintage this year (with ~VRG~ ....maybe the Watkins Glen event).
But I will also stay with the regular club races (because I like the longer enduros).
I can't find any "wheel lift" pictures of my car, but I have a picture of a 2002 following me and you can *just* see his right front off the ground. It is ~HERE~.

No longer active in racing, but did FVee and F440 for a few years.
Flagging/communications for many years, autocrossed for decades. Crewed on a Daytona 24 Hour car in 1980.

hi all,
new to this. great to see a racing forum!!! i don't race but many of my aquaintances do and i am restoring/building a 1962 tr4 for fastest road and autocross for fun only so am not building to any rules, other than safety. i have many questions which alan and simon have been a great help so far in the triumph forum.
