Who is going to be there? I'll be coming down from Dallas in the TR6. Look for the ropy old yellow one with a factory hardtop.

I will not be at the hotel, staying instead with friends in Hammond.

How about we have a little meet & greet at 1pm. It would be nice to get to meet everyone. Any prior attendees who know the layout? If no one has any good ideas for location, then find my car and let's meet there at 1pm.

Paul -

We'll be there. I've been trying to organize a drive on Friday, but so far, no takers. Jaybird suggested a visit to the Quarter on Friday night, and I'm sure nothing will keep her away from that!

Anyway, I look forward to catching up with you. We'll be at the host hotel.

Mickey

Paul --

You have a PM.

Mickey

Mickey, I won't be going to the show.(prior commitment to The Swamp Games in Gonzales.Highland Games that is.)
But am still interested in a drive on Friday.

Stuart.

Stuart --

You have a PM, too!

I'll be there. Along with 2 other STL couples (minus their LBCs)

I want to drive Friday, do the river road, lunch in Baton Rouge, back to NO for dinner and some fun & games in the Quarter.

We're staying at the Quality in Metairie on Thursday night, the host hotel on Friday & Saturday nights.

Sounds like a plan,Janel. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif

Now all of you fine Brits-Sunday is the Carousel of Arts in Abbeville & If you leave New Orleans around noon you can still get to Abbeville in time for Gumbo !! It's a straight trip up 90 thru Houma to New Iberia. Off at 14,Turn Left and go throught Delcambre & Erath and here we are!! Zack & I will be proud to see everyone!! Randi

Randi! I was going to call you for directions. We have a 12+ hour drive home Sunday, but I'll be bitterly disappointed if I don't get to meet you and Zacque, at least for a minute! So I'm trying to convince dahubby we need to make a stop in Abbeville before we hit the highway. He thinks I'm nuts. Duh. We're caravaning with 3 other couples, so I cannot make any promises, but I'm certainly working on it.

We'll be down there 7ish Thursday evening, staying at the Quality in Metairie, then the Hampton in Harahan Friday & Sat night.

LOL Zack kept asking if someone called today-even from Lake Charles!! We must manage to get together- I have the Carousel Sunday but maybe we can get your way if the trip here looks unlikely! I boycotting washing 9 big Bubbas for the show-the heck with that so if you get a schedule before you leave or after you arrive 337 207-4277 or 337 898-1864 and this will happen! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gifLove ya.......been a rough yearand a half/ P.S. be careful really careful in New Orleans. Hunting season on tourists never ends!!!!Truly Randi

Randi...you find 'hunting season' is worse now since Katrina? I've been down there numerous times with a girlfriend and we've never had any problems. Although I don't exactly look or act like the 'perfect victim' either. An occasional "bet I know where you got your shoes" but I can't say that I've ever felt uncomfortable or unsafe - no matter if it was the French Quarter or the Garden District.

We're staying in Metairie/Harahan, will drive to Baton Rouge Friday I think and then to the Quarter for dinner and some fun. Most likely back down there Saturday night as well. I'm not too concerned - I'm pretty aware of myself and my surroundings. My husband's the one I worry about. It's like he wears a freaking neon flashing "I'M A TOURIST" sign around his neck. And I'm a bit concerned about whatever LBC we bring though. How rational is that!?
