Roll Bars

I'm at a good point in the restoration of My BN-2 to install a roll bar. I've poked around on the web and not been able to find anyone who manufactures a bolt in unit. I can make one myself, but the cost for what I've have seen for similar installations,it is probably worth spending a few hundred dollars for someone else to do the engineering and fabrication. Does anyone have a source for something like this? Thanks in advance.

Jon, try Joe Huffaker, at Huffaker Engineering. 707 935 0533. They're at Sears Point, which is a nice drive from Sacto, if you take 128/121 over to Napa, and then down 121 to Sears Point. Or, you can take the boring way, I-80 to Vallejo, and across 29.

With some thought, you should be able to come up with something. I ordered some 1-1/2" x .120" 4130 tube from Mark Williams Enterprises (famous for drag racing axleshafts). I sent them detailed drawings/dimensions for the two (2) hoops and then I did the rest.

I did revise the diagonal bar at the rear for easier access to the battery and spare tire.

Thanks, Walter & Randy. I still haven't made up my mind as to whether or not I'll make my own or buy one, but now I've got a couple of sources if I choose the latter.
