Rolex 24

The guys on SpeedTV are calling his recent successes a "Chip-Slam".

Ganassi became the only car owner to win the four biggest races in the United States during a 12-month period. This includes the Daytona 500, the Indianapolis 500, the Brickyard 400 and the Rolex 24.

I though Joey Hand was the real hero. He really pulled the team back from that 30 second penalty. The "sprint race" on the last lap (with five leaders, nose to tail) was amazing after 24 hours of racing. Pruett was a perfect guy to be in the Ganassi car for that, but Dixon and the others really made him work.

Overall, I'm not a great fan of Daytona Prototypes, since I personally cannot relate to these cars. And I'm not really interested in Ganassi's other cars....NASCAR and Indy put me to sleep.
I generally prefer the classes based on more standard cars, like the ~Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge~ (which runs as a pre-event to most of the DP races).

Still, Ganassi's team at the Rolex 24 helped make it a great race to watch (and it was good last year too).

By the way, I was a NASA race at Pocono 2 years ago (in my old Escort GT). A guy brought a Daytona Prototype to the race for testing. Here's him blowing past me!
