Could someone explain how Roku works? Is it reliable, are the movies without distortion? Is it worth the effort? We have satellite and wondering if Roku is better. Thanks, PJ

We have a Roku and like it a lot. We have not had any problems with it (knock wood).

Paul, We live out in the sticks and the closest cable is 20 miles away! So we have Dish. We have WiFi to three computers, which is fairly fast, but not lightning speed. I've read up on Roku, but wanted someones opinion who has had it for a while for the plus and negative side of it. I'm not much on commercial ads, they all say there's is the best. Is the Apple unit excellent, good, bad? PJ

Paul
We went with the Apple TV because it networks with the iPads we have already. We have DSL and it only rarely can not keep up with the signal. I think the perform as advertised, but I think you will get more with some of the upgraded services that we do not use because we do not watch that much tv. What we like the most is the Netflix interface.
