Looking for comments on the quality of rocker arms currently available for a TR6, or the alternative to have them refurbished and how good is that.

Thanks

I pulled my head this winter and sent it out for a rebuild, and when I dropped it off I left the complete rocker assembly with them for dipping. When the head was done he handed me a box with all the rocker parts and said forget it. Well upon closer inspection it was obviously beyond help so a shopping I went. It was suggested by many to send it out for a rebuild and that was in the $150 to $200 range, also suggested was a roller rocker setup but considering hi-performance is not a concern for me the money made no sense. I eventually purchased a completely new OEM setup from Rimmer for under $150 including shipping and nobody here in the States was close to that.

I sent my shaft to TRF about 18 months ago, when I originally had the head pulled. I came back looking like brand (shaft was new and hardened) new for less than $150 at that time. Everyone at the machine shop thought the work was great, especially for what I paid.
