Here I thought it was pretty cool having my roomba vacuum the floor for me. I guess the future is finally getting here.

At my college, I'm usually called "The Robot Guy".

That's because I have been a technical mentor for my local FIRST Robotics team for over 10 years. Over the years, our team (Team 11) is one of the most highly placed of all of the 2000+ FIRST Robotics teams.

This year, we got 1st Place in the Annapolis Regional event (against approx 65 teams) and we got 2nd in the New Jersey Regional (again, about 65 teams).
We just got back for the National Competition in Atlanta where we were ranked in the top 10 with about 200 teams in attendance.

Anyone who says kids today aren't so good needs to spend time with the kids on a FIRST team.....it'll open their eyes real quick.
