I haven't seen any of these post, so. I'm putting the top & the side curtains on the bugeye and going to meet a budy for a trip to Topeka via back roads. Gas was 268.9 & I put $16.00 of gas in. Kent Prather has shop night at his shop on Thursdays. Temp, here is about 60 at five in the evening and I'm just about on my way. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Weather is great for driving here in NJ too.

I drove 3 hours on Monday night from my folks place. Top-down (but in the Miata). Got home at 1:00 AM.
I have night classes on Tues and Weds, so two more nights of top-down cruising as well.
I'm sitting here waiting for a CNC program to finish at work....then another top-down run home.
I'll have the Spridget at Pocono Raceway this weekend....top-down, obviously. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Rub it in guys, this LBC is in pieces, still enjoying it in the MC2, but just not the same.

Nail, I will be going to Britfest, if there is anything you want me let me know and I will keep an eye out for it.

Have fun this weekend, I assume that you will be running the inner course which is fun.

Thanks, GB.

I'm always looking for a spare 1500 Midget/Spit engine and/or transmission. If you see anything and you get the chance to copy down a phone number, I'd appreciate it.
Everytime I go to Britfest, I want another TR-3 and another MGA (but I'm paying for two weddings inside of 12 months, so that ain't happening this year!).

Looked under the bonnet about 30 minutes before leaving, check the oil, radiator, wiped a litle oil off the valve cover, just making sure things were alright, and dammmmm! The top bolt to the generator was missing. Wonder how long it had been like that? Met John on time and went to Prather's shop night. My solo racing friends tell me they are having an event over at the KU campus Sunday and I'm going to try to make that. Lawrence is about 45 miles via a 4 lane. Last nights round trip, 165 miles. What a great evening with friends and the ole bugeye.

I had a starter bolt, the bottom one fall out on a long road trip, 3000 miles, long ago. I sure I had not tightened it properly.

Allowed the starter to turn a bit and not engage the ring gear. After several days of only parking on a hill I found the problem when I looked.

Afterwards I always carried a carefully sellected hand full of bolts and nuts, never needed any but gave me a lot of confidence.
