Road trip from Chicago to Lake Muskoka

Country flag
Offline
My family and I head out tomorrow for a road trip from Chicago to Lake Muskoka (about 2 hours north of Toronto, Ont.) We'll be cutting across Michigan on either I94 or I69 and crossing at Detriot (I94) or Sarnia (I69) then up the 401 to the 400 to 11. Will either route bring me within a stone's throw of other BCFers? Let me know and we'll see if time and schedule allows for a brief meet. Not taking any LBC on this trip but will have my 1957 Glasspar boat along. It would be fun to connect with some others between here and there!

No where near me, but have a great trip. :savewave:

you'll go within 8 minutes of my house. - Toronto. you are more than welcome. I'll PM my contact info.

Hey Peter

I live two minutes from JP

Cheers

Mark

Great stuff! You Canadian guys take good care of Pete, ay?!

I used to live there, in Barrie... And I didn't know you owned a vintage motorboat, I love them!

Enjoy the trip, it's nice country up there

That's the scenic route Don

I am 10 minutes east of Highway 400, Innisfil Beach Road, which you will be taking.. and we're right off Lake Simcoe. What is your schedule and timeframe for travel? I'll be out and about most of the week, and you're welcome to stop in here for a rest and a pop.. It's always great meeting new MG folk.
(and help me put my windshield in my GT, and help finish the interior, and help me with the electrical issue... )
PM me and I can forward you my phone number.

Paul

Hahahaha, I thought you said, "rest and a poop". We don't have pop 'round here, but we do have poop.

Trip update: got a late start out of Chicago. Right now cruising up 400 towards Barrie - it's 1AM. Thanks for the invites and offers! Looks like next Saturday will be the best bet to connect. I'll PM in a couple of days!

Peter,

I hope your Wife is as understanding as mine.
I always seem to fit car stuff into our travels -
somehow we "coincidentlty" ended up at a car show on
our 25th anniversary.
I hope that you're trip goes well.

Hi Paul. Drove past your exit at 1:15 AM. Figured you were most likely asleep so we kept going! LoL  I'll be glad to help with some of the projects on your car. Can I drag you back to Chicago to help with my throw out bearing??!!

No Seattle stops this trip! Hopefully a stop at Paul's, Niagra Falls and JP/Abarth then home. We shall see....
