So I am goofing off when I should be working. I scanned the November 1962 Road & Track road test of the MKII 3000 for you. (This is a bit of an experiment for me, but I think if you click on the photo, you can go to a page to enlarge it)

I have that issue. Does yours still have the full color "centerfold" for the new MG-B 1800?
 
Great post, your pics came up easily and with X2 I could read with little difficulty. I had to chuckle at the "mph per gear"
ratios; 40mph in 1st gear, really? or 90mph in 3rd gear?

Ya, I got a few old magazines with "centerfolds" in them too, those models don't restore too well though.......

At 6000 rpm!

I seem to remember that the Autocar road test of the last BJ8s was no more complimentary, but people still love their big Healeys.

I've got a MKVI Bentley www.kda132.com they were the best car R-R ever made after the Silver Ghost and practically indestructible, far better to drive than anything from that era and surprisingly comparable with good modern. They'll even sit on the freeway all day at 70-80 mph and yet apart from really knowledgeable experts, they are not highly rated and don't sell for huge prices.

The Healey is twelve years younger and feels that much older, but comparatively more valuable and highly regarded. Just shows old car types are bonkers. Or perhaps it's just me
 
Here's an ad that came out in the September 1963 Road & Track for you, also. Interesting that they emphasize the low price of the Healey- that certainly isn't the case these days, is it?
