Have fun today everyone!!

I've got one solid month of no design work projects.
Yippee.....Lots of nearly Amos driving and fishing.

Just finished front brake pad change on a Dodge Caravan... fun?!?

Bah, humbug.

Just got to stand outside and flag down the local newspaper delivery van. They fired all the kids who delivered on foot, and required that the papers now be delivered by motor vehicle of some sort. The collection of delivery people are the least reliable people around so I spend many a morning emailing the Morning Call trying to get the paper before I go to bed at night. Phoning is worthless as the phones are answered in the Philippines, and they never get the address right. (okay, end of rant!)

Lehigh Valley? The Morning Gall has OUTSOURCED their phones?!?!

...I'm flummoxed...

Logged on today and like Tinster down in PR, I find it's SNOWING here in Fl too!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

I'm finishing a reupholstry job on a pair of Fiero seats today. Bottoms are done..repair of side bolsters donw and new speakers wired.

Need to test the speakers for phasing, cut slots for shoulder harnesses, then install new back covers and re-assemble.

Let's see...its Saturday, December 22nd & I have to buy Jerri a gift after I finish building a "Thomas the Train" play table for Will who's getting his first train set from Santa - priorities, you know!

I AM!!!!! Gee thanks Santa, you just spoiled my Christmas Tony /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Sorry, weewillie, but the Will I'm building it for lives in Alabama....hehehehe....

....those tables cost $200-$300 - ridiculous....I'm building an exact duplicate out of 3/4" Poplar & 3/4" MDF for less than $100!! Better material, more sturdy...plus, it'll be a limited edition signed play table!!

Tony,
Isn't that the way with almost all of the "toy stuff" these days? I bought my nieces "dress up" stuff for Christmas. They sell the el cheapo costumes that wouldn't last ten minutes for $$$$ at Toys R Us! I bought a "prom" dress pattern and sale material and made two dresses for about $10. Next I hit the flea markets for cheap costume jewelry (I even found a tiara)and mardi gras beads, ladies white gloves, purses and even some high heels that are red sparkly things like Dorothy's Ruby slippers and voila for about the same price as a Toys R us Disney princess costume I have a whole suitcase of "dress up" for the girls. Hopefully it will provide for more imaginative times too, since its not "pre-made" to be Cinderella or whoever the latest Disney princess is.

Nobody in the family know I'm building it - his parents are giving him the little Thomas the Train set (figure 8 w/bridge & oval)...down the road there'll be slot cars....usable table top is 32"x48"...outside dimensions are 33.5" wide x 49.5" long x 18" high.

Jerri came into workshop & saw it & knew what it was immediately!!
