So after recently posting about how I am behind on my magazine reading and they don't hold much appeal, I pick up the Road & Track I had for a couple weeks and discover this. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ro...ture/amp31285549/remembering-thomas-l-bryant/

From back from in the days when I did enjoy the magazine, a fitting tribute from Peter Egan. Bryant never put himself front and center like some car magazine editors of the era, but he obviously left his imprint on the magazine.

I worked at Road & Track magazine back in the 70s. I worked on reception and knew Tom well. He was a very kind man and often took me out in his truck showing me how to change gears, as I had only driven automatics. It was sad to read he is no longer with us. Fairwell Tom, you were a gent and a very kind man.

I have a big collection of older R&Ts.It cool to reread them & see things
I didn't years before.I called the R&t office & corrected one of the editors who
incorrectly wrote about the death of William Snell (which begat the Snell Foundation),
telling him that he was killed at the airport in McKinleyville,CA during road races that
were held there. He actually mentioned me later when he wrote a correction - I GOT MY-
NAME IN PRINT!
